MEST4 Preliminary exercise: evaluation

Mean Girls - Burn book scene

Original:

Recreation:

1) Why did you choose this particular recreation and how does it link to your main production?

I chose Mean Girls as it shows how the typical teenage girl is represented in the media. However, this movie contradicts my issue as the main characters are females instead of a male being the central image. It shows that other people envy and are jealous of them and all the males are after them.
2) What difficulties did you face in producing this recreation?
Having to find a similar location to the one in the extract and getting the angles right
3) What are the strengths of the production?
The acting was strong and i managed to get every shot in

4) What aspects would you look to improve?
Not having a shaky camera and having props
5) What lessons will you take from this process that will help you with your main production?
To look carefully at my script and shot list and make sure everything i have written down is added in the filming and to be prepared.
6) Now that you are ready to start your actual linked production, explain clearly what you will be creating and how confident you are in delivering this.
A young female is kidnaped by a group of young males to take revenge on her brother who owes them money.
